19. Apr 2022 / Category: News

Next week, following two years of online events due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the FEI Sports Forum will return in person.

The event will open with discussions on the Paris 2024 Olympic & Paralympic Games Regulations, with specific sessions dedicated to Jumping, Eventing, Dressage and Para-Dressage. This is an important phase in the wide-ranging Paris 2024 consultation process, and the EEF will have various members from the discipline working groups and national federations in attendance to actively participate in these discussions.

The FEI will provide updates on the FEI World Championships 2022 in Herning (DEN), Pratoni del Vivaro and Verona (ITA), and present their digital campaigns and collaborative tools that will be used to engage fans worldwide.

The second day of the Sports Forum will begin with a discussion on FEI Event Standards, a project that aims to identify core technical aspects of FEI events and develop systems to ensure that the delivery of these meets the expectations of all our stakeholders. With the remainder of the event devoted to the full revision of the FEI Veterinary, Eventing, Dressage and Para-Dressage rules. The supporting documents for these sessions are available here, and we urge all attendees to read these in advance in order to engage in constructive discussion.

The event his year also marks the 100 year anniversary of the FEI and their tag line, “Shaping the future together,” will be a central theme throughout discussions as we work together to shape the future of equestrian sport.
