Overview
Sustainability can be defined as:
meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

The EEF's central vision is to secure and sustain a social licence for the sport, inspire the growth and accessibility of the sport, all while holding horse welfare as the guiding principle of our leadership.
A social licence refers to the ongoing acceptance of a company or industry's standard practices and operating procedures by its employees, stakeholders, and the general public. In order to have a truly sustainable sport, that can enjoyed by future generations, we must have and maintain a social licence to operate.
We believe there are three main areas to consider; the horse, the environment and humans.
