Longines EEF Series Final 2027 in Avenches Confirmed for 18–22 August
19. Feb 2026 / Category: Press Release
The Longines EEF Series Final at Avenches will take place from 18–22 August 2027, following approval by the Board of the European Equestrian Federation during its February teleconference.
The revised dates were proposed by the Organising Committee in coordination with Swiss Equestrian and endorsed by title partner Longines. The adjustment ensures optimal alignment with both national and international calendars, while avoiding clashes with other major sporting and cultural events.
“The Board was pleased to approve the revised dates for the 2027 Final in Avenches,” EEF President Quentin Simonet said. “Working closely with our organisers and partners ensures the Longines EEF Series continues to offer the best possible conditions for athletes, teams and spectators.”
Avenches was originally awarded the Longines EEF Series Finals for three consecutive years under the agreement announced in 2025, underscoring Switzerland’s strong commitment to hosting premier international jumping events. The IENA facilities in Avenches, featuring modern arenas, extensive stabling, and spectator-friendly amenities, offer a world-class setting for top-level team jumping. The initial staging of the Final in Switzerland was a remarkable success, showcasing the venue’s ability to host international competitions while providing an engaging experience for athletes and fans alike.
“We are very happy that the EEF Board approved the new dates for the 2027 Final,” Edwin Smits, Event Director at Avenches, added. “These dates fit perfectly with the European calendar, working well for all parties involved, avoiding conflicts with other competitions and major local events, and offering ideal conditions for the sport and spectators. After the strong debut in 2025, we’re excited to welcome riders and fans back to Avenches for what promises to be another memorable Final.”
The 2026 Longines EEF Series season kicks off in May at CSIO3 Mannheim*, opening the regional qualifiers that lead up to the Finals in Avenches from 3–6 September 2026. Teams from across Europe will compete in a series of high-level events designed to develop emerging talent, strengthen national programs, and provide the experience needed for top international competition. Each qualifier and Final is a stepping stone in a season that celebrates teamwork, skill, and the next generation of European jumping talent.
“We are delighted with the confirmation of the proposed dates for 2027,” Michel Sorg, Secretary General of Swiss Equestrian, commented. “We are already looking forward to welcoming the Longines EEF Series Final to Switzerland again in 2026 and 2027. Thanks to a highly committed organising committee, dedicated partners, and excellent cooperation with the EEF, we are confident the event will be a successful and memorable Final.”
The Longines EEF Series Final will once again bring together Europe’s leading national teams in a showcase of top-level jumping competition, continuing the successful collaboration between the EEF, Swiss organisers and partners.
