EEF Position paper on the proposal for Regulation on protection of animals during transport

The EEF EU Committee led by Catherine Bonnichon-de Rancourt, have done a considerable amount of work monitoring the latest developments surrounding the EU proposal for the regulation of animals in transport.
The paper has been submitted to the EU regarding the proposal and is available to read here.
The paper covers several issues that have particular considerations for the equine sector including the journey classification system, requirements for vet supervision, vehicle tracking obligations, temperature rules and space allowances.
