Attention turns to Madrid and Athens for the Longines EEF Series

This weekend there will once again be two legs of the Longines EEF Series (LES), respectively hosted by Spain and Greece with the Madrid and Athens CSIO3*.

The leg being held at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid is the second CSIO for the Region West following Lisbon and decisive for teams in this group as far as qualification for the June 23-28 LES Semi-Final di Deauville (FRA) is concerned. The Longines EEF Series Madrid takes place on Saturday at 17.00 where the countries competing for qualifications over Spanish chef de piste Isabel Fernandez de Canete’s courses will be Belgium, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain with Mexico, Chile and the USA bringing the total to 10 teams. The first leg of the qualification saw Ireland top the group and they will be keen to impress again.

The Athens CSIO is the first in the Region South with Bulgaria, Greece, Italy and Romania competing in the Longines EEF Series Athens 2022 Nations Cup on Sunday, June 5^th (starting at 4 pm). Just like last year, the chef de piste at the Olympic Equestrian Center of Markopoulo will be Italy’s Elio Travagliati, who in 2021 also built the courses for the Longines EEF Series Final 2021 in Warsaw.
