EEF Press Release
Equestrian sport in Europe has come to a halt.
The call of the European Equestrian Federation (EEF) to all national equestrian federations in Europe to contribute to containment of the Covid-19 pandemic has been followed up en masse.
This means that, albeit with different approaches per country and as far as we can tell, equestrian sport has come to a standstill throughout Europe. In addition, all meetings have been canceled by many national federations and their employees work almost exclusively from home. National federations have also introduced restrictions in riding schools and private stables.
The EEF welcomes the massive follow-up to its call for a Europe-wide standstill. The EEF understands that different measures apply per country. Without exception, however, they showcase the will of the equestrian world to minimize the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus.
It goes without saying that the well-being of the horses is the highest possible priority for all who are involved with the horse.
